Effortlessly Clean C Drive in Windows 11 Without Formatting

How to Clear Up Storage on Your C Drive in Windows 11?​

1. Run Disk Cleanup​

  • Open File Explorer by clicking the folder icon on your taskbar.
  • Right-click on your C drive and select Properties.
  • Click on the Disk Cleanup button.
  • In the Disk Cleanup window, select the files you want to delete by checking the appropriate boxes.
  • Click OK, then click Delete Files to confirm.
  • For additional space, click Clean up system files and repeat the process.
Disk Cleanup helps you remove temporary files, downloaded program files, and other unnecessary files, freeing up space on your C drive.

2. Use Storage Sense​

  • Open Settings by pressing Windows + I.
  • Go to System and then Storage.
  • Turn on Storage Sense if it’s not already on.
