An Illegal state change was requested

I've deleted my old Microsoft account, but I forgot to sign out of Windows when I requested its cancellation. Now, I'm unable to change this account, and whenever I try, it shows an error message saying "An illegal state change was requested." Please help me as soon as possible.

I would suggest you to disconnect the PC from your network connection and try logging in. If that doesn’t help, please Reset your Microsoft account password and try signing in with the new password. Meanwhile, you may also boot the PC in Safe Mode and see if you can login.​
