Antimalware Service Executable using excessive memory on Windows 11

I'm experiencing severe performance issues on my Windows 11 laptop, with the Antimalware Service Executable consuming the most memory. I've seen similar issues discussed for Windows 10, but I'm on the latest Windows 11 update. Any solutions or fixes for this?
