App installation issues

I have run into an issue where numerous applications won't install. The installer starts, gets to the "computing space requirements" and then stops, never to move any further forward. Running latest version of Win 11.

The irritating thing is it is only some apps that won't install. I've installed a couple of utility type apps no problem. But apps like emClient, iTunes, Proton VPN, all hang at "computing space requirements". The C drive is only half full so space is not an issue.

ANy clues please
