Hi all

One question as I am a bit desperate- thank you all in advance

Error of Incorrect Parameter. Sought info online. Attempt to convert RAW files to NTFS files failed. Clean command was used as per video in internet with diskpart commands. Now Storage disk ( WD elements) seems empty with all data lost. Still 'seen' by windows but not recognized. Question if data can be recovered ?

Thank you all

Were the RAW files already on the drive at the time of the attempt? If so it could be something corrupted the drive or the drive is failing/has failed and generally all data is lost. I've used Ontrack for getting data recovered for clients with a failed drive where the need for the data was critical such as a company's financial records [Yes, they did learn about backing up their data from that].

If an attempt to convert RAW files to NTFS fails, especially after using the Clean command, recovering data manually can be challenging. You might try using the Command Prompt with tools like chkdsk or attempting to assign a drive letter in Disk Management, but these methods often don't guarantee results for RAW drives. For a reliable solution, the BLR Data Recovery Software can efficiently retrieve lost data from RAW drives, even after the Clean command, ensuring minimal hassle and maximum recovery.

The best responses have already been mentioned in the conversation bro!

But here is the summarized suggestion for you is that if your drive is showing as RAW and data recovery is essential, the first step is to stop using the drive immediately to avoid overwriting the lost data. Recovery is possible using specialized tools such as Stellar (has free edition too) TestDisk (free and open-source), EaseUS, or DiskGenius, which can scan the drive and retrieve files.

It's important to note that you cannot convert a RAW drive to NTFS without formatting, as RAW indicates the file system is unreadable. Once your data is recovered, ensure regular backups and monitor your drive’s health using tools like CrystalDiskInfo to prevent future issues.
