Brightness Box

A brightness adjustment box has appeared in the upper left corner of my laptop screen. I can't get it to go away.
I need help in removing it from my screen. I have tried all the usual stuff, settings, display looking for remedies but,
no luck.

That is a first for me!

Have you tried right clicking and delete?
It sounds like it could be a third party program ??

HP Laptop.
I press Fn & F2 for brightness minus.
I see a brightness display box at top left of the screen.
This box disappears after about 3 sec after releasing the keys.

That's his problem - it doesn't disappear
Maybe, a guess, you have your night configured to be on all the time??
