I recently bought a new laptop, the Yoga Pro 14s, which came with a licensed key for Windows 11 Home preinstalled. However, I chose to install Windows 11 Pro instead and signed in with my Microsoft account, assuming it would activate using the digital license key linked to my account. Unfortunately, this didn't happen. I even removed my previous laptop from my Microsoft account settings and attempted activation again, but I received an error warning stating the key was invalid.

Has anyone else encountered a similar issue and can offer advice on resolving it? Thank you!

It's been my experience with changing from Home to Pro that making the change in the running Home System page, About and clicking Product key and activation. It doesn't take long and most of Pro is in the original install and will do some updates.
