I have been trying to find out about updating my Win 10 Home 21H2 OS build 19044.1566 desktop PC to Win 11. I have changed the boot option to EUFI only and can buy a buy a Gigabyte TPM 2.0 Trusted Platform 12-Pin GC-TPM 2.0_S Motherboard Module Win 11 to fit the empty socket on my motherboard. However although my AMD FX(tm)-8320 Eight-Core Processor 3.70 GHz is on the AMD okay list Health Check says it is not compatable with Win 11. I am loath to purchase the TPM 2.0 module if I cannot upgrade and came here to see if there was an explanation for this or indeed any help offered at all?.

I don't see it on the list.

Please make sure you are clicking on the correct link.

It is banned as per the Despicable Requirements. You can bypass the Despicable Requirements during installation, and you will receive security updates, but feature updates may become blocked in the future. Without installing feature updates, security updates will end for Windows 11 21H2 in 14 months. The bypasses currently work for feature updates, but may not in the future.

Copy the contents of this CMD file into Command Prompt (administrator). It's named after TPM, but is actually effective against all types of Despicable Requirements since it switches the installation mode to Server (without affecting what is actually installed).

Extra tip: To extend the rollback window, use DISM /Online /Set-OSUninstallWindow /Value:256 replacing 256 with the number of days you want to have Windows 10 available to reinstate without affecting files, settings, or apps. The next feature update should be available by then, so you will know if you need to revert to Windows 10 to receive feature updates and continued security updates.

It is on the list but you have to look at the AMD processors with Windows 10 v21H2 v OS Build 19044 1566 Check the link?.

What that means is that the processor is able to run Windows 10, version 21H2. In other words, they are not asking for your current operating system, they are asking for the operating system to which you are thinking about upgrading. To see the list of processors that can run Windows 11, you have to click on the Windows 11 link.

processors that can run Windows 11
Your post is correct in that it's the Windows 11 link and not the Windows 10, except the word "can" is not the right word to express if CPUs are banned or not for Windows 11, as per the arbitrary and despicable requirements for executive and shareholder pocket inflation. Even an Intel Core i5-3317U, a 2nd Generation mobile, works well with Windows 11, without slowness caused by CPU, or crashes. As for security, there is no reason security on banned CPUs would be specifically worse with Windows 11 than Windows 10.
