Glitchy Audio on Xbox Wireless Headset via Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows

I recently bought an Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows. Previously, I used a cable to get clearer and better audio than Bluetooth with my PC. After buying the USB adapter and plugging it in, I experienced constant audio hitches in games and apps like Discord. I found that the USB needed an update in settings, so I updated it, which resolved most issues, except for regular tiny glitchy sounds in all audio. Videos seem to be the worst, with audio completely stopping for 2 seconds before returning with more hitches.
I checked my motherboard manual and confirmed it has USB 3.2 Gen 2, so I plugged the adapter into that port, which temporarily improved the situation.

What are some solutions to fix or improve the USB performance?
