Following the recent Windows updates, I've been encountering the "How do you want to open this file?" prompt whenever I access the Notes list. Despite not finding a suitable option or executable file, I eventually clicked "Always use this app to open .MicrosoftStickyNotes_xxxxxx App files," as suggested by the prompt.
Now, whenever I open the Notes list, it redirects me to a browser with the link and message:
file:///C:/Users/<username>/Desktop/Microsoft.MicrosoftStickyNotes_xxxxxx!App
Despite the synchronization of all StickyNotes with OneNote on my phone and Outlook web's Notes, I am hesitant to reinstall the app on Windows. What would be a fast solution to resolve this issue?
