Hi! I bought a retail version of a Windows 11 license key last year for a gaming computer I built from parts. Since then, I have wiped the SSD, disassembled the computer, and sold each component separately. I forgot to unregister the Windows license key before doing this. I used my Microsoft account on that computer, so I assume the license key is still tied to my account.
I understand that to unregister the key, you typically run commands on the Windows machine, but I no longer have access to it. My question is: is the license key tied to my account, and if so, is there a way to unlink it so I can resell it? I currently don't use any Windows machines and have the unused license key on hand.
