Opening a search in google-chrome address bar ( for example. "weather")
results in this search :

In other words , I can no longer do a google-search .
Pls , anyone know how to fix this .

I deleted all shortcuts etc. , but it didn't Help...

Is it possible that you have Yahoo as your default search engine??

You can change that back to Google in the settings of chrome:

Personally I use Google as primary and Bing as secondary .. everything else have been removed

Yes , I tried all the above and more .
To do a google search on my system , my contingency measure is 'create a chrome incognito shortcut' , like this :
Target = "C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --incognito
