I get no sound from my windows 11 laptop

Don't know what to do either since your System Specifications are not filled out. Can only say that Notebooks/Laptops have a hardware keyboard function that sets the volume first then the OS can control it from there. Look for symbols on the F keys for the volume, may use the Fn + an F key on some models.
