Internet shortcuts stop working when waking PC from sleep (or hibernate)

I posted something similar in the General section when I upgraded from win 10 to win 11 a few months ago. I never had any real help.
As above, after the upgrade, a lot of my internet shortcuts (it happens with either Edge or Chrome) stop working - that little spinny circle just keeps on spinning!
The only way to resolve it is to re-boot. As I am a disabled 71 year old, keep getting on my hands and knees to crawl under the desk to hit the reset button was not funny. So now I send the PC to sleep, wake it up, and reboot from the desktop. A bit of faffing about! Also, a recent update (dont remember which it was) has completely deleted ALL my saved passwords and other log-in details. Some passwords I do not remember, so I am having to re-register on some sites (including this one) - very irritating! I guess I should find a way to save them all once I get sorted again - lesson learned! Does anyone have any idea what's going on here? Even better would be a way to resolve it properly!

For info' I am running a i9 14900KF - 32GB RAM - RTX3080 Ti - M.2 system drive - 500Gbs full fibre internet - Win 11 Pro, 23H2

Any suggestions would be much appreciated please.

Glenn, the only suggestion I can give, is.... STOP using either Sleep or Hibernate.
I remember back when Sleep first appeared from MS, and it was buggy then and probably still is.

There are many setting that I have to set in Windows, every time I install it on a PC. I always go in to the Power Options area in the Control Panel and I set Sleep and Hibernate to NEVER. I just want my PC to be ON, till I turn it OFF.
That is the safest way to operate a Computer.
I speak from 40+ years in the Computer (PC) business.

Cheers Mate!

Yea I have been leaning in that direction for a while now. Thanks for your reply and I will shortly make this and a couple of other changes too.

I forgot....

When I turn my PC OFF using a Quick Shutdown Shortcut, in my Taskbar, Windows shuts down, but the PSU is still ON in what you might call "Standby Mode" still providing power to the motherboard and the "Power ON" switch.
To prevent my PC from coming ON by itself, I plug my PC in to a Surge Suppressed and switchable Power Strip.
Once I've shut down my PC, I immediately turn the power strip to OFF. My PC, Monitor, printer and speakers are all on that same strip, so they are safely OFF when I flip that switch.

Happy Thanksgiving!
