Hi everyone! After the KB5039212 update, some of our Windows 11 machines, which have group policies to block access to the Windows Store and games, have lost their taskbar, Start menu, and explorer.exe functionality.

For some machines, simply removing the group policy restored the taskbar without a reboot. However, I have two machines where even after removing the update and the group policy, running gpupdate, SFC, DISM, relaunching explorer.exe, and using PowerShell scripts, the taskbar, Start menu, and explorer are still not working.

Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue?

Restart into recovery mode, and uninstall the KB5039212 you have done before, after uninstallation .. restart system normally and proceed to re update. There are sometimes the KB release will be faulty for example the recent KB5039302.
