I recently deleted my local user account by mistake and had to create a replacement under a different username, with standard user priveledges not admin.
Consequently I now have no means of logging on as administrator, which I need to do so as to take a system backup onto external drive in order to eccess the Documents etc folders which were linked to the deleted user account. When I tried to create a specific administrator local account , W11 asks me to log on under an administrator user account! Seems a bit catch22 to me! How do I resolve this please?? ps I am not a techie in any way but can usually deal with minor issues.
Also- I am very reluctant to create Microsoft user accounts as its a jungle!Under older versions of Windows it was simple to copy the hard drive to an external drive but MS seem to have blocked that option off for Win11.
Im using a newish DELL OPTIPLEX MICRO 7010 PC.
Any advice is very welcome!!
Thanks.
