Hi. I keep running into this problem. My screen often switches to Portrait (flipped) or Landscape (flipped). For no reason. I then go in and switch it back to Landscape. What I'd like to know why this is happening and how I can keep it from happening?

This is what I do to see the problem. Right click on Desktop>Display Settings>Display Orientation

Thx.

Your Screen of what?? Laptop, Desktop, Tablet??? you do not mention any of that.

These are my settings (Laptop):

Compare those with yours and see if that helps...
(You might not have a UHD Display :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: so you can ignore the resolution)

Sorry, it's a laptop. I thought it would show when I entered my specs. Here they are.

I've attached a screen shot. It looks pretty similar to yours.

So far I cannot find anything wrong with your settings. However, I have done a little research and your laptop may come with W11 home in "S" mode. I do not know if that can cause the issue as I have no experience in regard of the "S" mode.
Since you seem to have a "standard" laptop, that issue should not happen at all once the setting is set.

Just for general information.
As you change things in Windows, like desktop settings, those settings are not made a permanent part of your Registry till you RE-Boot your PC.
I've had customers who Never shut off their PC, and they suffered all sorts of weird problems.
So once you've made any change in Windows, like some Desktop setting, shut down your PC, Completely, NOT Sleep or Hibernate.
Then when you start up your PC again, the last thing you changed should be your NEW setting.

Incidentally,,,,, if someone gave me a new computer, like yours, NEW IN BOX, the very first thing I'd do is perform a Clean install of Windows 11, 24H2, Pro/64. NO! Not from MS. I will not have any OS with "HOME" in the title.

Happy New Year!
