PC no longer visible on local network

After installing Windows 11 on my laptop the laptop is no longer visible on my local network. Prevents me from moving files from my phone to PC. Anyone seen this behavior?

having a similar issue with a tve and wtching my movies on my pc worked before windows 11

try to find this in network i believe it worked with my issue

mine was set to public and i could not dtream my movies from my hard drive so i put it to private now it works

I have mine set to private and see the other home PC's , but asks for credentials to login window. I can't remember how to get around this?

try public thats what fixed mine i could see them but it would ask for credentials if i used my Microsoft user and password i could see them

i guess it makes your pc public only to the network your on not to outside people that aren't logged into your router
