I have an USB stick with video and jpeg pictures on it. I have 3 computers with windows versions as follows

PUNCH W11 Pro 23H2
Build 22631.3737
Experience pack 1000.22700.1009.0
16gb RAM 64bit O/S

PACKARD BELL W10 Pro
Version 10.0.19045
Build 19405
4GB RAM X64

ASUS W11 Home 22H2
Build 22621.3593
Experience 1000.22700.1003.0
8GB RAM 64bit

The video files will run on all 3 using VLC app. The pictures files as follows

PUNCH - no
PACKARD BELL -yes
AUSUS - yes

Can anybody explain and is there a way to make picture files readable on PUNCH

Regards

Have you tried to Assign a specific program to read jpeg files? That's common in most versions of Windows.

I use a program called, "Photo Filtre" (yes, it's French) which is now getting pretty old, but still works great on every version of Windows.
I assign it to all photo types.
I call it my "Poor Boy's Photo Shop".

What app are you using to read the image / picture files? are all 3 PC's using same image viewing app?

I am using Irfan View to look at my pictures. I also use "Faststone Image Viewer" on occasion. They are both free...

I'm still on oldskool ACDSee 3.1 (just view, crop, resize) .. for arrow, bubble, masking, cutouts etc. use Faststone Image Viewer .. pretty good and fast but not FREE :)

Unless do some heavy works then move to Adobe Photoshop CS3 (oldskool too) .. because I'm not familiar with PS2024 LOL!

a license for Image Viewer is required when you need a volume license in a commercial setting. for private use it still is free.

BTW: Your Image Viewer has a COMMERCIAL License
