Hello, I have some problems with windows 11, I would like to share, maybe I am not alone and maybe there are solutions.
01-Outlook new keeps installing itself and poipup without me asking
02-in Mail and calendar I have a ghost yahoo account that shows in the left panel as well as in manage accounts, but it does not have anything inside and if I try to manage this account nothing heppens. I removed and re-installed app, this account is not in settings, accounts and I have no idea how to get rid of it
03-I hate the outlook new wrapper: it installes and try to impose itself, it shows ADs and even if I want it to have a certain dimension it always turns back to microsoft set size and position; if I start Mail and calendar it will automatically switch to outlook new
04-I can not set in Mail and calendar my yahoo account, besides the ghost one that can not be used, if I try to setup another Yahoo account it will not connect to it, I tried both methods, to use yahoo account password or a password created by yahoo for mail and calendar.
05-I can make it so mail and calendar openes instead of outlook new: I use IObit Unlocker to force unlock and delete the file olk.exe that is the outlook new launcher but periodically this pain will still install itself.
06-I have also found a .bat file who does not let outlook new install; the same batch allows to reverse it and let it install
07-I also found a small application who eliminates and blocks ADs in outlook new; it can also restore the state to original
08-I set up Weather widget to show on Lock screen but it does not; no widget works on Lock screen; windows spotlight and slideshow are not working on Lock screen
09-touch far-right end of taskbar to show desktop not there anymore
10-date format in microsoft store and other apps is totaly other than my chosen format (MM/DD/YYYY instead of DD/MM/YYYY)
If somebody has solutions to some of the problems, please let me know. If someone is interested in the solution I have found at 06 and 07, please let me know if I have the right to post URLs where to find them or maybe even attach them to this forum, as they are very small files. I could make them .zip for safety.
