The wifi icon changes to a weird blue circle

I am using a Lenovo Legion 5i. Recently I noticed that the wifi icon is appearing as a small blue circle with the wifi logo inside the circle with a single line crossed. I tried updating the drivers but I already have the updated ones installed. I also tried troubleshooting network but it couldn't identify the issue. I am on an open wifi provided to me by my university but I tried using my mobile data hotspot too but the icon still appears. It goes back to normal after restarting but after a few minutes it appears again. How do I solve this?
