Why Is My Wi-Fi Often Slow and Cutting Out on Only One Device?

I'm using Windows 11 on a wireless network and experiencing frequent connection drops that interrupt voice calls, games, and videos. Speed tests show a strong connection, and the network always indicates that I'm connected but the performance is inconsistent. This issue doesn't affect my other devices or anyone else in my house.

I've tried troubleshooting, clean boot, network reset, netsh and ipconfig commands, a full factory reset (excluding OneDrive files), relocating my computer, in-place upgrades, rolling back updates, and updating drivers. Despite these efforts, the problem persists. Any input would be much appreciated.

Try using a USB Wi-Fi adapter to see if it's a problem with your internal Wi-Fi card? Sometimes the built-in cards can have issues, especially if they're older or have been damaged somehow. It's a quick and relatively cheap test to see if the problem lies with the hardware in your laptop or desktop.

Make sure your router's firmware is up to date. You might also want to try changing the Wi-Fi channel or band (2.4 GHz vs 5 GHz) to see if that helps. And you should check if Quality of Service (QoS) settings are enabled on your router and see if prioritizing your device makes any difference.

I haven't tried a USB Wi-Fi adapter yet, but that's a good idea. I'll pick one up tomorrow and see if it makes a difference. Regarding the router settings, I did update the firmware recently, but I haven't played around with the channels or QoS. I'll give that a shot too.
