Windows search won't find files after update to windows 11

Since updating to windows 11 my Search isn't working properly.

I hit the windows key and search for individual files and nothing ever comes up. I can search for individual folders no problem but I can't type in the name of the file I want hit enter and have it load.

This is really annoying as it significantly slows down the speed at which I can do my work.

Does anyone know how to resolve this issue??

All I can suggest is that....
The search function relies heavily on "Indexing".
You may want to check Control Panel -> Indexing Options
To see what your system is actually indexing
With the caveat that it can take a while on a new install...



Additionally you can check the individual folder properties that contain the files to confirm that indexing is configured
